Dr. Christopher Rhoten is a native Texan born & raised in Amarillo, Texas. He moved to Canyon during his early years and graduated from Canyon High School in 2010.

Dr. Chris then attended Texas Tech University for his Bachelors in Health & Exercise Sports Science in 2014. While at Texas Tech, Dr. Chris gained experience over multiple summers working in various physical medicine clinics around Lubbock and assisted in graduate biomechanics research for Texas Tech. It was at this time he realized he wanted to help people learn how to move better and become more connected to their bodies, and decided chiropractic was the perfect fit! He then graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic University in Kansas City and got back to the great state of Texas as soon as he could! Dr. Chris is trained in multiple different techniques involving manual adjusting and believes in the importance of regular spinal care at an affordable price.

Dr. Chris says the best thing about being a chiropractor at NuSpine Chiropractic in Lubbock is being able to help others understand the importance of regular spinal adjustments, an active lifestyle, and a more direct connection to their mind, body and Spirit. Dr. Chris knows that chiropractors help patients achieve better health, and ultimately, improve quality of life throughout one's life span by working with the body and its functions, not against them. Dr. Chris is looking forward to being back in Lubbock to support the amazing community and cheer on his Red Raiders in person!

In his free time, Dr. Chris enjoys working out, playing golf, enjoying live music as well as hiking/camping! His favorite thing to do is spending time with his cat Zula & his dog Apollo!

NuSpine Chiropractic

Chiropractic care is the practice of using spinal alignment to alleviate a wide variety of physical ailments, including muscle strain, neck pain, chronic back pain, and more. This is accomplished by adjusting the position of the spinal column to its proper shape, providing a non-invasive solution for pain relief.

The History of Chiropractic Care

The word “Chiropractic” is derived from the Greek words “cheir” (hand) and “praktos” (done) combined to mean “done by hand.” It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer. In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.

D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.
